Where are you all spending Thanksgiving? At the home 20 or out on the road, and if you're out, is it by personal choice? Just curious.

For me, I like to be home for the three "big family" holidays. Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The others (New Year's and the summer ones) I don't care either way whether I'm home or out on the road.

Just back from 14 day cruise to Central/South America, Panama Canal, off till 11/25. Work 11/25-12/1. Off/home till 12/5 then back for 10 day cruise to Western Caribbean. Work again last week of Dec or maybe first week of Jan, haven’t decided.
    You asked.

Picking up in the am, then delivering in the evening. Roads should be kinda quiet i hope around Harrisburg.

Ill get my turkey dinner the next time im off. In my line of work, i may or may not work every holiday of the year, but my family in this house will always celebrate on our own terms.

And no, its not by choice. My schedule is 6 on 2 off so my weekend rotates by 1 day every week. Might be 6 years before i get Thanksgiving to land on my weekend.

My husband is doing a last minute relay load. Instead of getting home today, it'll be tomorrow night. But....instead of leaving Saturday evening, he'll be home til Monday morning.

Yeah this week sucks for freight. I tried to book some short hauls and they were almost non-existent. If I wanted to pick up today and deliver Friday there were plenty. So I just took the week off.

I'm heading home from Portland now, I should be home around 5:00 am. I'll get a few hours of sleep, then go to a friend's house for early dinner, then to my brother's house where I'm staying for dessert and a nap, because I'll be back at it around 3:00 am Friday.
