All 6 cracked
Crosshatch? Never heard of it. This is 100% the reason you don't use ether. -
Be sure to check your timing. If someone advanced it to far it will crack the tops as well.
NightWind, spsauerland, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm going to put it back together at factory specs. Tweak it once its in the truck.
spsauerland, Feedman, MartinFromBC and 1 other person Thank this. -
I honestly thought this engine was converted to direct injection. Nope. Its still a prechamber engine.
NightWind Thanks this. -
I don't blame you a bit. Everytime I build a pump, timing advance or an engine we start it bone stock. I fortunate and have a CAT timing meter so they all get set where I want them once warmed up. That A oughta be 24 degrees advanced when pin timed. Not telling you your business but that's plenty in my opinion.
NightWind, Ruthless, spsauerland and 5 others Thank this. -
I've never messed with a mechanical this big. Definitely appreciate the advice.

And you thought this was going to be a relaxing project!
AModelCat Thanks this.
