Yes, I did.
I was a bit confused of why they did me the way they did because I made sure I did everything correctly. I didn't lie on my application and I put everything I know they needed in detail. Teresa Miller was my recruiter, I even had a pre-hire letter with the company. I specifically ask my recruiter if everything was good to go and she told me that there was no issues. I was 100% honest and yes I informed them of everything. Covenant is a 'case-by-case' for felons. My recruiter is the one who had to go to someone higher then her to get my application approved.
HELP Me! Please.

Dan.S Thanks this. -
try everyone..leave no stones unturned. a denial or refusal is better than. "maybe i shouldn't apply cuz they will turn me down".blade Thanks this.

I’m surprised that they wouldn’t take you. Did you forget to mention it? That’s usually the policy with truck companies they will take someone with a felony in the condition that they mention about it to the recruiter before hand.

That is the problem right there. This is difficult for some to understand, and because it will morph the topic I am going to only touch on it lightly. If you want a more detailed comment it will have to be private. These "cases" are not easy to just get "approved". Somebody at Covenant screwed up! Think about that old saw, straw that broke the camels back. The felony by itself might have been OK, or the license suspension, together, well it become a problem for safety and thay round filed you, sorry! You are hirable, trust me on that. If it gives you any solace this crap happens all the time across trucking.blade, Lepton1, BigDog Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

I was surprised myself. It really discouraged me because I finished everything in Orientation and then all of the sudden...I was told they would rather move foward with other applicants. Something just didn't seem right to me with the way it happened but, it's okay. I won't let it get the best of me.
And thanks for the support! This felony has been killing me ever since I got it.Lepton1 and austinmike Thank this. -
I was 100% honest on the application and went into detail on everything.Ffx95 Thanks this.

Then that was very rude of them. If they weren’t going to take you they shouldn’t have brought you all the way there and wasted your time. Did they atleast pay for your return travel?magoo68 Thanks this.

Anywho don’t stress too much. Too many companies starved for drivers heck they’re taking in these foreigners that can barely speak English let alone read. You’ll find a company that will take you. If it fails just wait until you hit a 5th year on the felony then try again.
BigDog Trucker and bradyr693 Thank this.
