I use PeopleNet instead of the more common Qualcomm. NOT Qwellcom. To select Off-Duty (PC) the engine has to be running for a few minutes. I go into the screen I normally choose my duty status and select OFF Duty (PC). I then get a confirmation box & message showing how many miles of PC driving I have remaining

The DOT DOES NOT specify how many PC miles they allow. It must be "reasonable" and not advancing company business.

When I drove for Swift a few years ago, only owner operators could use personal conveyance. Company drivers could not.

That might still be the case with many of the large carriers. It sucks. Try to find a truck stop that has laundry.

Some truck stops have pretty decent laundry facilities. You will learn where they are. The NEWEST Love's that do have laundry have front loading washers. You generally won't see them on your truck GPS unless it is updated.

Most TA's and Petro's have good laundry facilities. I do try to avoid Pilot/FJ.

I'm assuming you are in a truckstop. Is your carrier OK with you bobtailing out and leaving a trailer? Some don't like that unless it is an emergency. Will you be able to park that bobtail legally at this laundromat? I agree with @Lepton1 in principal, but those TS laundry machines can be a pain. When I was driving and had some extra time I would call a cab get them to take me to an area where I could wash AND get something t eat while I waited. You have many options here. Think about it.

Ya, I stopped at a new Loves once and it was pretty nice. Schneider has us fueling at Pilot so that is where I have been stopping.

I currently don't have a traiiler, just tractor. What is legaly parking a bobtail? I am currently at walmart parking lot. Been here for 2 days and half waiting for dispatch. I am parked taking up two car praking spots. Is that not legal?

It depends on local ordinances, and such. Be a courteous professional and don't dump piss jugs and bags of fecal matter in parking lot

Our company will activate the option if you can provide a projected good reason or possible need of, ahead of time, while safety is there M-F. If they do authorize it, it will then automatically become unavailable after their programmed window expires. Just sayin'.

No. Waiting 2 days for dispatch is not legal. If over a holiday weekend, then they should bite the bullet and authorize motel reimbursement near food and other basic services. Because they are so disorganized in the office should not become the driver's problem. What? Are you a goat who is expected to fend for themselves outdoors while they go on vacation? Are you some sort of machine? Stand up for yourself. Let them abuse you once, then put them on notice. Have an exit plan. A second time? ... execute it.

Personal conveyance may be be listed as off-duty driving on your elog. They usually let you make a note/comment of what you are using it for.

Not always, depends on the company.
