What are my options for improving the headlights on a company '06 KW T600?
I've driven 2 different trucks of this model and they both sucked in the headlight department. I've played with the aim/adjustment and come to the conclusion the headlights just aren't bright enough. I prefer to drive at night so I need to figure something out.
Anybody have any experience with the Silver star replacement bulbs? Is there any other replacement bulbs that are better than stock?

I tried the Silverstars a few years ago. Although I liked them and thought they helped , I got tired of constantly replacing them. It seemed as though they did not like the vibration in a truck. I bet I got half of the life out of the silverstars than the stockers. I eventually just went back to the stock setup. Maybe someone else's experience will be different.

Get a set of H.I.D light kits off ebay, I only payed $50 for the kits, you just need to get a set of headlight housings with the removable bulbs ( any chrome shop has them for about $20 each) They are a plug and play kit, you just have to mount the ballast boxes somewhere, I have a Pete and just mounted them in the headlight housings. I cannot go without mine now, I even bought a second set just for spares. Some people complain they are too bright, they are adjusted right they are just so bright it is unreal

I drive a T600 as well and have driven in one other T600. In the first one I thought, are my headlights even on!? Is it just me or are these lights really dim? Same deal with this current T600. I just use high beams whenever possible.
-
I agree with you all, our 2001 T600 is dim too, i just bought a set of new headlights for the highbeams, Silverstars also, if anyone else finds something better please post here and let us all know, something that hopefully won't cost an arm and a leg.

So you bought Silverstars for the high beams and they were not much of an improvement?

I'd love to go this route but I'm afraid my company might not appreciate me mounting the ballast anywhere on the truck. I'm hoping for a slightly more conspicuous approach.
-
you can mount them with addheasive tape easy to remove
hunts2much Thanks this. -
Well I'll have to look into this a little deeper then. I'm not sure where to even begin looking... I guess off to google I go. I just worry about repercussions from my company.
