Uhhh…..I don't know about "out running a bullet" but I know I could get behind my truck or something in the time they retrieved the gun.

Boy oh boy..............Can't people just put up their fists and handle it like before?
Gotta pull a gun or knife every time,
Trucker probably woulda whipped his ###.......Who knows, but wussified society gotta draw a weapon.HardwareHyena, D.Tibbitt, allniter and 2 others Thank this. -
Seems to me like with the gun on the ground, there was no threat. Once the shooter picked up the gun, he was the threat? Dont see how that could be self defense? I agree though, not a good idea to try to pick a fight on the side of the road. Driver should have just ignored him.

You never no what you are going to Face with a confrontation.
Our sophomore football/ history teacher who could bench 450 told us a little story about never assume you have the upper hand.
He chose to walk away from a confrontation when he was a little younger and out on the town with his wife.
This was 35 years ago before guns were prelevant. -
Like most cities Nashville is a pain to get through. Nashville has many merges in a small area. It’s a given you are going to have to slow down and 4 wheelers always whip out in front of others (especially trucks) just to get 4 cars in front of them. I especially love it when they get in front of you just to stop so they can get back in line.

I think the truck was trying to merge, and you know how it is. No one wants a truck in front of them.

How NOT to handle a concealed handgun ... (CCTV footage)
Bully starts fight with guy half his size, then gets shot by his own gunLepton1, Trucking in Tennessee and w.h.o Thank this. -
No, the law doesn't. You can't start something with someone, be the aggressor, and then claim self defense with a concealed handgun. Once he stopped to confront the truck driver, he was no longer able to claim self defense.
I agree the DA should prosecute.Lepton1, BUMBACLADWAR and Terry270 Thank this. -
That's almost an assassination. Incredible.mjd4277 Thanks this.

Read what I posted.
I agree this guy is going to face a jury. He screwed up the second he pulled over. However the law is quite clear that there is no duty to retreat in Tennessee.
The post I was responding to stated you must evade, evade, evade. Not in this state.
