I have a company in mind but in case it doesnt work out i want some other options.

Ive driven both hoods and aeros... I much prefer the position of the seat and wheel in a W900L over an aero... I like the visibility gained in an aero... I like the look and sound of hoods... I like the ride and creature comforts of an aero... I hate that I cant slam the seat to the floor in my aero, wish I could drop it another 4 inches.9
But even though I now drag a reefer back and forth across the country behind a 2016 Volvo... I started out as a farm driver and cattle hauler driving 359s, 379s, and W900Ls. Lights, Pipes, Smoke, and Chrome... With lots of Horse Power and Gears. To me that will always be the way to ride in style!!
Edit: That new KW W990 looks like it might be a nice compromise between hoods and aeros.CorsairFanboy, larry2903, CruzControhl and 1 other person Thank this. -
Not bad. I wish I had a hood I've a couple years left in my 1st o/o truck before I replace it. Being nearly on my 2nd truck I can afford one I just want to put fuel in one. Enjoy it sounds like you have a good gig.CruzControhl and stormy379 Thank this.

I drive a long nose KW W900 tanker for a small company out west. Just a few trucks. It looks great and it’s a comfy riding machine but it sure does take some getting used to. I love the look of it but I’d prefer a T680 or 880 most of the time for the places I’ve gotta get into.

I guess it's a personal preference thing.
I drive a w9. Me personally. Just don't see the hype.Dan.S Thanks this. -
If you don't mind me asking, where are you located and how many years experience?CruzControhl Thanks this.

Me and a big hood Scotlyn driver (company truck I presume?) ran for a bit a few months ago across I-94 western Wisconsin. Both of us heavy (I was 79,000) he was cruising about 67 and me 65 but when he came to a hill, he fell flat on his face and I’d catch quickly back up to him having to roll up beside him or tailgate him just until we got to the top. I got a little indignant and asked him what he was doing with all that exhaust and power since he wasn’t using it to work with. He replied back something to the effect, it was all fake. Just looked good.

Just noticed the location you list, you in the land of leis(sp?) now?
TMC (too much chrome), is running aero petes, now, haven't seen too many hoods.
The company from Britt, IA, Monson, runs Paccar hoods.
I liked the Starcar, but the Cascadia is nicer to get around with.CruzControhl Thanks this. -
I don't need a truck, 379 HOOD. I got that. I just need a driver. I am wanting to get off the road.
CruzControhl Thanks this.
