running all position tires as steers?

Just so they aren't recaps, they'll have a bit more resistance than steers and make a little more noise, I don't see a problem. I've heard that some states don't allow steers on all positions though. I think Oregon is one of them.

There are some intermodal companies in Houston that do it. They don’t get much winter weather so there’s no harm in it, if you buy lots of tires for multiple units it simplifies that, gives you more options in rotating tires, the only concern I’d have is if I operated in an area that gets winter weather and having an all position on my drives, may not get good traction.

All position tires are steer tires?? Are you asking about trailer tires if so I know a guy who will never try that again he had a blowout with a almost new trailer tire.. they told him it’s not designed for the flexing in the steer position
