I have a 2013 Pete 579. The factory bunk heater only works when I set the temperature to 84 degrees or higher. Anyone know what the problem is with the heater?

listen to this here northerner...
either intake is clogged, or the glowplug is gummed up, or the filters are clogged...either way it has to keep sucking fuel or it will die out. run it super hot at 90 for a while with the windows open, that will probably burn it out good once it gets up to operating temperature.spsauerland Thanks this. -
Ok, that was for failure to start or goes out. I need to find out why mine will start, stay running but you have no control of the heat level, you can adjust the digi control but will, just keep getting hotter till I shut it off,

i read that the thermostat reads it's temp from the air coming out of the heater vent,

Mine also won’t start unless temp set to 78F.
Lately won’t start at all. Had shop check it and said operation was good. -
If it don't start at all and the display goes to to Service . Your batteries are not right , even if it shows them full charge. Either one or more is bad or in my case a couple times a year I have to clean all the cable connections and then it runs.
