Look for companies doing port work near you or jacksonville I'm sure someone has a dedicated route near you might not make it home everyday but most days

I found my local job on Craigslist, they did want a year experience though. There were others that didn't specify experience required. If you don't mind hard labor (aka Foodservice), McLane in Sunrise always seems to be hiring. There are a couple fuel delivery companies that are always advertising too. D&B and Lank come to mind. The company I work for uses a fuel service. Seems like an easy enough job to just drive into the yard and fill up the tractors and reefers. The low pay just didn't seem worth the extra headache of hazmat hauling and I doubt the new guys get the gravy runs.

There has to be a temp agency in your town. Usually a little less pay. But will give you a choice in where you work. Also check everyone for spotter Jobs. Beats food service and always home.
