I need some input on a fuel issue I'm having on 2012 D13H. I had fuel filter housing and filter changed due to leaking at plunger. Now truck starts after being primed, but stumbles and die soon after.Primes up tight at hand primer. Really baffled.... Hearing air hissing inside value cover as I hand prime. Any thoughts? Truck came in for filter housing and was running just leaking. Now no start and run...
    TIA ....

Check make sure system is not properly primed need to try this a few times put some air pressure in the fuel tank breathers and than full up fuel filter and reprime the system than start wait for oil psi to go up and rev up the engine to 1500 and hold it there. It should work just all the lines are empty and you are having issues reprimanding the system

I don't know if this helps but I had a little rubber o ring on the bottom(drain hole ) of the fuel filter . engine code for low fuel pressure . truck was still under warranty but was 4 times into 4 different freightliner dealers to finally find it

I tried pressurizing tanks, primed.Getting fuel all the way through system to and through head.I Rail seems not be stay pressurized ,after long crank it will catch and stumble and die. Question. The overflow valve on front of head.I removed it and was able to blow air through it with my mouth.I read that it is suppose to release at 65 psi.Brought a new one from dealer and was able to blow through it also.Should this valve be able to blow through? I can't see how rail can hold pressure with this.
    TIA

I'm taking my truck in shop today for an oil leak at camshaft position sensor that's getting worse. I don't have any codes, issues yet, but is located on top rear, behind the EGR, and i'm worried could contaminate the harness because is not installed horizontal, more upside down, prone to oil contamination..
I'm telling you this, because ,i read on Volvo site that if this goes bad or gets bad readings, the symptoms are long cranking hard start ,similar to bad injectors, or wont start, but should throw codes. Just a thought.
