I can only speak for Las Vegas and many years ago. But I imagine the hold-ups are about the same. The major factor is the loading rack. That's the one item that holds everyone up. Sometimes you can get in and loaded in 20 minutes (that's super tankers @12450 gallons) and other times it's over 1 hour. The second place and the last for me was getting into the stations and on the fills. Even when we had the station manger clear the way there were times you just waited. It was the station mangers job to make sure the fills were clear. We'd wait 10 mintues then drive off, the manger did everything they could to make sure that gasoline got dropped. However, we hardly used that and just would wait as long as the truck was out of the street.

So the rack and traffic as well as the unloading zone not being clear. Speaking of the rack I passed by one in CA recently and there were at least 10 trucks lined up.

I bet you went by the Colton terminal if you were SoCa.

Our loading rack is old AF and only load at 250gpm. Tapered though. Starts off slow and ends slow. Its all good. Plenty of time for coffee and paperwork.

Actually that’s what slows down Bull haulers along with people poking along in the hammer lane.Isafarmboy Thanks this.

Yup, When I pulled Jet out of there it was gate to gate in 15 min. Gas 15-20 min but it depended on if there was a line or if I hit shutdown then it was longer. Shell 15 min or less gate to gate. I loved shell.

Never loaded at Shell SJ. Kinder Morgan wasn’t bad. Chevron could have some backups at times.
