I remember reading some drivers complaining about a phone app they were required to install which couldn't easily be uninstalled? Does anyone remember which one it might be? Thanks.
What is the App some brokers require on your phone?

"Required to install"? If it's required, then I require them to find a different truck to put their load on.
Their app won't fit in my phone anyway. Mine won't even update. Too many songs and photos that I won't delete for another worthless app.Broke Down 69, Alexjesi, Roly and Susy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Don't remember the name of the app, but I always refused to install it and ignored calls from the brokers when en route to a delivery. If you read the user agreement on those apps, they want access to everything on your phone including your address book and even your photo album. They also state that they can use your contact info as they see fit. F that.

Macropoint. Even if you delete the app, you are still being tracked by cell waves

Macropoint is being utilized by direct shippers and brokers too. I have not had any issues with it. Tracks me up till I deliver then it quits pinging my phone. I tell them if they want me to accept they will have to pay me $50 bucks each load- they do it!

Even if the Load is paying good?
-
Yes. There's other good paying loads. I own my truck and I'll deadhead 500 miles past cheap freight and pass on any "required app" load in the process. It's a matter of principle. Let the megas fight over that crap.

Hell I wouldn’t even load our company app. No one would tell me what access and permissions it needed.
My privacy is worth more than any load they pull.
