Ok, so I got let go from a company. Never mind the reason. It wasn’t involving safety or anything. Never got any tickets, accidents, inspections, positive drug test with this company.
I’ve recently gotten a new job and left them off my application as I didn’t work for them long. My question is is there any sort of paper trail that links me to my previous employer that my new employer could find? Does the DOT and fmcsa know every company that every driver has worked for even if there is no recorded incidents with the employer?

I know in my experience is best to put down every single employee that you've ever had. These companies do extensive research on every applicant. it might take a little bit of time for them to find out things but they eventually find out. Everything shows up on your record so you always have to put down every detail about your employment history

Yes once you leave a company it takes a month or two for it to pop up on your dac. Companies normally run all your stuff once a year

that would be likened to "falsification or an application", and you will not only not get THAT job, but will be blackballed from future applications at THAT place.

YOU MUST ACCOUNT for 10 years of employment, and YOU MUST account for gaps in between employers.

so now you tell me, if you delete all those former employers, how are you gong to account AND PROVE your time in between employers..?????

Well I’ve already gotten the job so?! been working about a week now. Like I said in original post, I only worked for my the the company I got let go from for a short period of time. It’s one employer
It’s not like I’m leaving off 5. What if the said employer doesn’t use DAC?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

    I
what if the employer doesn’t use DAC?
And I think they just run your MVR once a year, to make sure you haven’t gotten in any accidents or tickets in personal vehicles etc?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

do you know for a fact that other employer does not use DAC..??

    someone always knows someone else.

you ran the risk, of another former co-worker getting a job there as well......

    oh well.......

    good luck.

Well, you're already working at the new job so if they don't find out that you lied (by omission) on your app, you are probably ok. This time. But in the future, better to put everything down and explain the circumstances then get caught in a lie.

Once an employer finds out that a driver has lied to them they never quite trust that driver again and they watch him like a hawk.
