It’s funny how people complain about the Ag and livestock exemptions. If you want the exemptions then go do it. OOIDA had a terrible argument and their pockets simply weren’t deep enough to go up against the ATA.
I was wrong. E-logs save lives

I say “so what?” You’re going to get hung no matter. But I also call BS. I’m not falsifying anything if I drive 4 mph and it doesn’t trip, how am I “falsifying” anything? I didn’t write the firmware or build the device.Long FLD and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Who’s complaining? Just highlighting the hypocrisy and the joke of the ELD. Public safety is based on the size of the lobby group? A child’s safety put at risk by an exhausted livestock driver for the sale of Pig comfort? You know #### well elogs are not about safety LMMFAOLast edited: Dec 21, 2018

Agree. I drove 80 miles one time while in the sleeper berth. The software let me do it. When I finished unloading at the chemical plant, I logged sleeper berth and headed to a truckstop 80 miles away. Every time the PeopleNet beeped, I had 5 seconds to push a button so it wouldn't switch to driving.rank and Rideandrepair Thank this.

One of the drivers was doing that and yakking on the phone and didn't pay attention to the "beep" and was written up by the company. The company still didn't figure out how he did it.Rideandrepair and rank Thank this.

I’ve never once said or believed them to me about safety. What messed things up for the rest of us was the fact that for some reason OOIDA decided to file a lawsuit to stop the initial eld mandate. Why they chose to fight a mandate that was only for those with serious and multiple hos violations is beyond me.
Everyone says the ATA did this or the Ag lobby did that. The reality is the majority of this industry did nothing to stop the eld’s while knowing for 5 years they were coming.bryan21384, Rideandrepair and rank Thank this. -
if a driver is involved in a fatality accident someone is going down, and its not the company. kinda like the walmart/tracy morgan accident, walmart still in business, walmart driver career over, they will sell you down the river before they accept any responsibility, unless you have more money than the people who wrote the firmware or built the device.Last edited: Dec 22, 2018
