Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Because they dump those used fleet trucks onto the used truck market at a loss....... and that depresses the market value of your truck.

 

Not for me as i run my trucks till around 8y which is way past what the fleets do.
But i get your point.

That's why i allways make a spreadsheet before i buy a new truck.
Put all costs and possible savings on it to decide when and if i will buy a new truck.


Btw plan is now to run the truck longer...............i'm getting older and working less.

Mercedes has never made a reliable heavy duty engine , in my observation

 

Freightliner have been doing that forever, Remember Jim Hebe??

Why?

 

Running an old dirty truck, when your supposed to sell it to a 3rd or 4th world country and act like your saving the planet.........then you can buy the latest euro 10 engine and live happily ever after...
