Has anyone moved or added a microphone on a Western Star truck or done anything else to eliminate back ground noise when using cell phone?

I use a plantronics Voyager 5700. 6 hr talk time 45min-1 hr recharge. Works perfectly. Plus I can use it outside the truck in a normal store and not look like a weirdo.

This should be a good replacement for the hardwired mic.

As you see, Blue Parrot has a LOT of fans. If you decide to buy one. Have a quick talk with your cell carrier. And find out if calls are digital or analog.

This matters because of volume controls. If your carrier is digital, you’re good regardless of which Blue Parrot you choose.

If they’re analog (like ATT) you would be better served to buy the older models. I have 2, both do their job well. However, I having hearing issues, and can only hear on the old one (B250-XT).

They don’t tell you this until you call in to complain about not being able to hear ****!
