Your Honor. If it please the court;
Mr. tucker has tried everything to slander and defame Greg.
Greg. A man with over 3 million safe driving miles your Honor. Your Honor, Greg has driven the distance to the moon and back half a dozen times without incident or as much as a parking ticket.
Your Honor, the crew of Apollo 13 didn't make it even half way there, and were hailed as national heroes.
Your Honor, we all project our own beliefs and values on others, and tend to use them as a measuring stick.
Perhaps IT IS MR. TUCKER, that is the wreck less individual who uses questionable judgment.
Greg, the man who has dedicated 28 years to safe driving, making it his mission in life to ensure everything he hauls arrives SAFELY, and on time, uses good judgment your Honor. The facts are self evident.
How could a man with that record not use good judgment at every turn.
Your Honor, I motion that these allegations against Greg be dismissed with prejudice without delay.
Further I move that your Honor sign an injunction against requiring the use of this highly flawed, and dangerous system, until a complete review of the FMCSR HOS rules is undertaken.tucker, shogun, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -
Greg might never make it,or worse someone else might not make it.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 23, 2018

When I was in grade school I wrote a short story titled "The Unlucky Flight of Apollo 13".
Pretty sure it was right around the Apollo 11 flight when I wrote it.
The crew of Apollo 13 made it back after the explosion, but in my story they all died from an air leak.
I wasn't disappointed by the outcome of the actual mission, but I was thrilled to have had semi-predicted an actual event.
"The flight passed the far side of the Moon at an altitude of 254 kilometers (137 nautical miles) above the lunar surface, and 400,171 km (248,655 mi) from Earth, a spaceflight record marking the farthest humans have ever traveled from Earth."
They not only made it to the moon, but set a distance record in the process.
They had looped around the far side of the moon to make the return trip back to earth.Last edited: Dec 23, 2018
Rideandrepair and tucker Thank this. -
Interesting timing. I watched a documentary with a very similar title last evening. One fella observed that they were actually very lucky because if the explosion happened before or after the moment it did, getting home would’ve been impossibleRideandrepair, 25(2)+2 and Oxbow Thank this.

How is the cost argument weak? I was left with three choices:
1. Buy a VDO Roadlog at a cost of $800/truck
2. Hire office staff to look after the DOT requests for paper
3. Fire all my senior drivers that are unable to adapt to the new tech And replace them with tech savvy inexperienced drivers, thereby incurring increased insurance costs and severance packages.
It is apparent that you are ignorant of the situation[/QUOTE]
I only looked solely at the cost of device and the monthly fee if applicable. OOIDA to me didn't know how to argue. They should have got more creative and pointed out something that the leaders have never heard before. That right there would have been a tall order. What really destroyed their argument is that so many companies have already been on board for several years. They stood no chance. They won the battle the first time, but its always harder to win a second timeRideandrepair Thanks this. -
If I were Greg, I’d put the $100 in there. He’ll still have $26,999,900 left over.bryan21384, Rideandrepair, Dave_in_AZ and 2 others Thank this.

They stood no chance from day 1 because the ATA was going to bribe until they got their way. The mandate is anti competitive to small carriers and unjust to carriers with no record of HOS violations.
the court can mandate ignition interlock devices for repeat DUI drivers but can’t mandate ELDs for repeat HOS offenders?
