I need to buy another truck and I'm looking at buying either a 2015 Peterbilt 587 with a Cummins or a 2007 FLD Freightliner with a rebuilt cat.....!!!!
What should I do? I am really leaning towards the 2007 pre DEF. Also it's a single turbo.
..
. Please help me out fellas

Does the 07 have paperwork on the rebuild or is it another one of these trucks where the owner just happened to loose a $20k receipt?
kenn2632, ExOTR, magoo68 and 1 other person Thank this. -
It has paperwork. Its through a dealer approved site.

You should buy the truck that makes the most financial sense.

2007? Pre emission? Pre-DEF, yes, pre-EGR, no?
Socal Xpress Thanks this. -
2007 trucks with CAT are Pre-def but if its a twin turbo engine then it does have a cooler and whats called an IVA system. Its not as bad as a truck with Def and all the sensors... So don't be alarmed if you get a truck with twin turbos. As long as you keep an eye on everything it will be fine. You can have it converted over to a single turbo but you have to redo the Head and it can be expensive... I've got a C-15 with twin turbos and it runs great!

Same price, looking for reliability

Milleage?

2003 was last year for single turbo. Something is not right if it's a 07 and single turbo.

Freightliner classic, don't know the original, but has 55k on a platinum overhaul
