From the picture you posted looks like you about 3 of them that are ready to go so i would definately put a six pack on just do not let them tell you the head is pitted and they have to replace the head cuz most of the time with high miles there will some pitting in the head but to this day i have not had one of them not hold as long as procedure is followed, the one that is pitted looks like coolan or water got there somehow, the other picture is you look closely you can see the compression coming thru the only thing that is helping you out right now is the second o ring sealing as much as it can, should see considerable power change and fuel economy if you put new ones on, and as long as they use the new tool it shouldnt need the second o ring, tell them to put final torque on injector at 20lb/ft plus 120 degrees instead of 90 much better result. but yes in this case you will save money in the long run, also make sure they calibrate all injector codes in the ecm. and adjust everything properly.

Yup no extra cost in labor for dropping in a new six pack. The dealer only has Remanufactured injectors in stock now. They stopped making new ones. At least that's what the parts guy told me.

Do injectors have to be calibrated on a Volvo with n14 or Detroit engine?

on old detroit 99 to 04 10.7 liter there is a 2 digit code on the solenoid part that needs to be calibrated in the ecm, not as big of effect as volvo has old detroits are not really that sensitive but it's still nice to do it and takes only a few min with ddl

Tec is completely out of the injectors my truck needs. The warehouse is also out of stock on this particular injector.

So I found a reman'd cam for 830 w/exchange. The same shop wanted to sell me rebuilt injectors and they pushed hard. It would have saved me like 2k alone But in the end they had a six pack with the Volvo packaging and all. 3200 w/exchanged. So saved about 1700 for the day and should have the truck back on Saturday.

Nasriza, what happens if the D13 injectors are just installed without loading the codes in ECM? would the motor still work properly ? I remember watching the technicians doing it on my last truck, some technicians told me that uploading injectors code doesn't make a difference on engine performances because the ECM has "self learning capability" ?!. I got a 3/4 reman few month ago and it's not pulling right, it came with injectors installed, i kept the ECM from last motor, and i'm not sure if they uploaded the injectors codes. Was this procedure supposed to be done in this circumstances ? It should ,right? the ECM still has the injectors codes from previous motor.

yes this was supposed to be done, will not see major difference maybe a slight vbration at idle, it will not affect as much as people think but it should always be done it just makes everything work better, and we are not at the point that ecm can relearn those type of things, being that most of the time even if you replace an aftertreatment component like fuel doser technicaly you have to go in ptt and reset the learned data, but no one does it really. So you will see driving difference if you put in the injector codes just dont know how much exactly being that it depends on the engine.

I dropped off the parts last night at 430pm. 930am my truck was already assembled. Only issue is the getting a minor update with injector codes. Will pick up the truck tomorrow for my convenience.

So far so good with GV Trans.

What are your oil change intervals at and idle time? These IMO are leading to camshaft and injector problems on these Volvo engines as any other engine too!
