But when I drive I'm only out 2 or 3 nights a week and have WiFi available at least 2 of those nights . All trailers come back empty to our terminal 10 minutes from my house . -
I only really drive about 6-7 hour a day so I have plenty of free time on my hands out here without a TV. Used to watch lots of movies on the road, but now I just pass the time shooting the bull or posting. I have another site with over 3k in posts but I have been on that site for several years

Thanks everyone ,for the advise...... My alleged, new boss?, just told me; "I will be driving class A trucks"...I'll take that , for what it's worth...... I have been lied to so much.. I couldn't tell you anything for sure.
Either way, It's looking like "extensive travel" with this job.
Maybe, I'll be in charge of the Mexican laborers? or just spray trees, and weeds all day?.... I could care less... I love to be physical, at my work.
Again.........Thank's, for answering my question. -
Most posters in this section I dont agree with because most havent been in trucking long enough to know what diesel fuel smells like much less which are bad and good compaines.
But Ill admit Jb is crap I was there 2 weeks and drove 300 miles never looked back.
boone315 Thanks this. -
I enjoyed reading through these posts. I use to work for JB Hunt as well. I can attest to the fact that JB Corporate Safety is 99% more likely to rate an accident preventable than not - their reason being that if we truly dig deep enough into the accident/incident we find that 98% of the time the driver did something which could have been prevented....ie: did he get out to look, did he use his cones, etc. They do alot, & I mean alot of safety training every quarter. I use to refer to them as the no excuse company because they covered every "excuse" why a driver would say it's not their fault, offering training on how NOT to have an accident so that when you do - yep, it's preventable.
As for the reserves set on your accident - those are set by only two people. They base these reserves on their experience (past & present) along with blue book values, insurance adjustments, etc. They tend to initially set those reserves high, but they are re-evaluated 30, 60, 90, & 180 days out unless it's settled before then. I'm sure the account is fighting the reserves as well because anything over $2000 and the account gets hit with a penalty of $5,000.
The other replies were correct in suggesting to get something in writing from the owner of how much it was going to cost and how he was planning on having it fixed. You should be able to call Corporate or your old account manager and find out who is working your claim and send them the information, they should adjust the reserves down. It's still going to show as a preventable accident but atleast the reserves will be less.
I wish you the best of luck as I am well aware of how tight the market is. The company I just started with the first of the year has just announced that they are closing their doors on 3/13. I was fortunate enough to find another job but companies are really getting strict on requirements. -

When I started, I got my CDL at 19, when I was 21 I applied at WERNER (YUCK) and they let me go to work with only 70 hours with a trainer to "learn the Qualcomm"
