    Hey all,
A little background to start — Been watching this forum for quite a while, but never posted. Got my chauffeur’s license back in the late 80’s and was grandfathered in when the CDL came about. Have hauled construction equipment and materials around the inter mountain west since then for myself and others. Tried getting out of the construction business a couple years ago and got a regional job that lasted about a year. Had to come off the road to straighten out a 17 year old “smarter than me” son and get him graduated from HS. Got that done and am starting to look at getting back on the road. Have our place up for sale and are looking to move closer to where the wife is working — so going back to the outfit I ran for probably won’t work. Currently living in the Magic Valley Idaho and are looking to relocate to Eastern Idaho. Wanted to feel anyone out that might be in the area for suggestions. Appreciate any help.

DOT Transportation in Birley is hiring. www.drivefordot.com
DOT offers local/regional/OTR/no-touch freight/touch freight/solo/team, etc. Take your pick.

I misspelled Burley. How far is Burley from where you plan to live?
Which is the nearest city/town where you will live?
    Burley, ID
    Distribution Center
    Location: 1541 West 27th Street
    Burley, ID 83318

Thank you, I actually talked to them a while back — I don’t know why, but I’m thinking a smaller flat bed outfit would be a better fit. I thought I read a while back that you where USN. I was a Gmt2 (made it twice) — did Adak for a while and The Vinson.

    Made it twice, huh....been there/done that.....lol.
My last ship was the USS New Jersey (BB-62). It's a museum now in the state of New Jersey. Majority of the Gunners Mates on there were GMG's. I think a Phalanx was installed before it was decommissioned. Maybe the Phalanx uses GMT's or GMM's , you probably know the answer to that.

Jones Bros. Trucking is relatively small, but not a mom & pop outfit.
Headquarters in Missoula, Montana, but hire in most states.
There others such as Decker Truck Lines, System Transport, but they're not small outfits.

They were guns and Asroc — we kept the dragon. Think I was out when they decommissioned her — Think I remember her on a RIMPAC or WESTPAC
