Yes the C18 has higher piston speed.
That’s why the custom longer rod to use the 5.7” bore with the 6.75” crank is such a good match, the longer rod benefits all the way around.

We have done this before to a Pete with a 6NZ that had a hard time staying cool. It helped for a while, but it finally had to come in for a rebuild. We are installing the IPD single piece steel 16:1 pistons in it now. Rumor is IPD is going to come out with a 16.4L kit for the 6NZ using the 18L liners.
