I imagine that the placards that you scraped off were at about the 5 foot level on the side of the trailer? with intermodal containers , the placards are COMMANDED to be placed at the 11 foot high mark on the containers or else, if the placards are NOT at the 11 foot high level by the time you hit the railyard/ ramp to ingate .....they REFUSE ENTRY ..... so.....anytime the intermodal guys are removing placards- namely the "stck on " type ......its at the 11 foot mark......yikes........talk about safety issuez.........weeeeee

I’m paid by the hour. I’m paid for all that the OP mentioned. My only gripe is that because I haul hazmat I must remain with the vehicle during my dirty thirty. I am not paid for that half hour but I believe I should be since technically I am not relieved of duty during that 30 minute break.

Shovelling the roof ......actually had to one time.....the roll-up doors on trailer would not open - this was in the blizzard in Denver around 2001 -2002 where 48" fell in 30 hrs

Yes......amazing how often drivers find themselves totally in the "responsible" status while in "off duty" status........per logs.......so....we are always liars technically.......

I'll bet you're the FM's favorite driver and get the best loads.

Remember when you start saying things like "no", that your value to the company is inversely proportional to your CSA score.
