This coming from Walmart? .....as if Walmart hasnt received any bolstering from Government influences? Subsidized .......thats a word I could use just as equally to describe at least SOME of Walmarts "success".....right? Funny, the people use food stamps to shop at a place that received its own form of "food stamps"......from Mommy Government.......certainly the scales have had a thumb or two placed gently on it in WM 's favor.......so......if we are up in arms about whos unfairly receiving favors.....perhaps it sort of evens out the score a bit anyways......Oxbow, Rubber duck kw and gokiddogo Thank this.

Bass Pro Shops really know how get tax dollars to open new stores.
-
Wanting the FMCSA to be able to enforce rules on non-commercial vehicles is a slippery slope to start down.Isafarmboy and Oxbow Thank this.

I can give you a couple of stats that the Megas are aware of, and aren’t reporting.
Collision avoidance can and does cause rollovers and jackknifes. The FALSE hard braking incidents on wet roads have led to multiple accidents with one carrier.
Do they blame the hardware and software? No, they blame the driver. Because he had his cruise control on.
This same carrier has now disabled cruise control while the wipers are on. While another, has disabled cruise completely for their local drivers.
ELD had me working tired, trying to meet schedules. I no longer do that. But companies won’t report that data either. And many of us drive/drove when we shouldn’t. Doing away with the split sleeper messed half the industry up. They have that data. But choose to ignore it.BoostedTeg, Rubber duck kw, gokiddogo and 2 others Thank this. -
Farming is commercial. I know everyone wants to break it out into something else. But is strictly a commercial enterprise. No one is milking for free. Or raising chickens, hogs, corn, wheat........
Good farmer like truckers understand this is not some silly lifestyle, it is a business. And should be treated as any other business would be. -
And it is treated as a business, but not a trucking business. It’s part of the farm or ranch. Doing what would make you happy would do nothing but create a giant headache as they’d have to break the trucking apart from the farm as a separate venture. The truck would no longer be able to be under the blanket farm policy if it were considered a trucking company

Then joe lawyer on his way to work is too, he's not working for free either.

No reason running team would increase the CPM. The miles to delivery do not change, you just get there quicker, and get back to your next load quicker.
Win wintucker Thanks this. -
Actually not quite that simple. Because you’re getting there in the same amount of time as you are now, only now you have the added expense of another driver that isn’t needed all the time but you have to have them with you all the time just in case you need them.laaylor, Rubber duck kw, shogun and 1 other person Thank this.
