No, i decided against it. I took many measurments and no way a 378 or 379 hood was gonna fit without serious modifications.

it's been done, you just need a 378 SBA hood with split fenders, of course, and just some hardware, I used to have the 378 SBA and a friend had the 377 SBA and we took all measurements, and it was all the same, mine was a 92 his a 89.

No worries, im sure a 379 short hood could be made to work but it wouldnt be easy and wouldnt be cheap

I understand a 378FSA will fit the 377FSA, however when I started looking for a 378FSA hood, the come in different sizes 55in, 60in etc.............has anyone done this? Some advise would be welcome.

if one of those will work it will be the 60.
i think our hood measures 62 -
379 also has rivets. Either way, the truck would look silly with 379 hood and not having dual breathers in it. Too much work involved. Just look for a real 379 if thats what your heart is set on
