You can't use them at most packing plants anymore, everywhere else they use them yet though. I'm not sure where most people get them, other than a farm store.
-
I'm sure they'll take you back in a couple years.

Hey

Doubt it'd help.Oxbow and Isafarmboy Thank this.

To be clear my feelings are not hurt at all in this deal. I am not the one whining pissing and moaning. To be clear I am doing what I have always done and making good money doing it.
To be clear I can't understand why this bothers a group of grown ### men that have nothing to do with this side of the industry what so ever. To be clear I dont see what makes them qualified to decide what's best for it and know stink about itIsafarmboy, Long FLD, kemosabi49 and 3 others Thank this. -
Very simple. I want everyone following the same rules instead of being able to bribe special treatment.
I enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy of one of the industries that brought about the 30 minute break with their lies, and then lobbied to be exempt. Which of course politicians are to scared of farmers so mandated it to happen.
I despise 99% of the bullhaulers I see because they tailgate, speed, and generally drive like their head is up their ###. I do enjoy catching them out of their truck after wizards to let them have the opportunity to see the video (yes all of my vehicles have dash cams) of just how big an ####### they are.
I despise the duplicity of the ag industry crying elogs is an unfair burden, ignoring the fact they do nothing but record compliance with 395.
I am tired of seeing accidents caused by ag haulers. Frankly I am tired of all of you people that can not drive. But around here ag haulers seem to be the worst.
In summation you are operating a commercial vehicle on a public road and should be subject to the exact same regs as any other same class commercial vehicles. However the farm lobby has bought and paid for exemptions endangering my family and the motoring public.
So yeah it is my #### business. Just as much as it is any taxpayer contributing to the roads. We all fund them, and regulate them. Well except farmers. They get paid to not grow crops, get paid to withhold protein sources, and then promote dangerous practices in moving their products on public roads. It is time to end the biggest welfare industry in this country, and reverse their exemptions from all government regulations. -
You want everybody to follow the same rules, which simply wont work. All truck driving is not the same and can not be treated as such, until you actually have hauled cattle and actually know what you're running your mouth about you should stay quiet about it.
-
A: I have hauled cattle.
B: That is the dumbest argument I have ever heard. Like there is some secret that only bullhaulers know. That is a crocknof ####.
C: It is a public road. That means everyone gets a say. Me , you, MADD, the ATA, citizens for safe trucking, CVSA, everyone.
All these lies, and excuses simply because someone finds it inconvenient to follow the law. IMO they should be drummed out of the industry. -
I find it really cute when you say "everybody gets a say" and then somebody says something you disagree with and you think they're nuts. Just explain to me one thing, if HOS is truly about safety and people driving tired, why are there no laws against driving after 14 hours at any other job? Don't give me the bs about a truck is bigger and more dangerous, I know more people who have fallen asleep and wrecked in a regular vehicle than a truck. I've driven 16 hours straight in my personal vehicle, I've driven an 11 hour day after not being able to sleep at all the night before in my truck, it was entirely legal I was off duty for like 14 hours waiting for the place to open at 8 in the morning, #### 8 to 4 farm co-ops. You talk to about any bullhauler and anybody who's been driving since before all the nanny ####, I'd bet 90% say anybody who cant drive at least 15 hours a day should be drummed out of the industry.gokiddogo Thanks this.
