This is too funny. Right before I left my fuel hauling gig, they were starting to get new trucks in with the ACC. One night I had to use one of these trucks because my truck was in the shop. About 15 miles into my trip I see interstate traffic passing me like I'm sitting still. I look at the ACC and it's tracking a car almost 100 yards in front of me doing 52mph. I'm just like "Ok, so this is happening". Gave my right foot a good cramp that night sitting on the gas pedal the whole time.

I've got this crap on a car and many of the trucks I own, my drivers call it Captive Cruise Control and I have to agree with them.
I am working on trying to get it to stop working on the trucks or make it able to be turned off and on by the driver. -

I don’t get it. So many harp on the idea we need to do our job safely, but it seems many of these same people advocate for disabling safety devices. If you have one that doesn’t work well, get it fixed (tuned)

Myself and many others have been driving safely for 40+ years.
I don’t need some silly device telling me there is a four wheeler in front of me.Dark_Majesty_06, Hammer166, Numb and 3 others Thank this. -
I saw that some were at 80%. Ha! No way.
You know what they’re doing, right?
Engaging cruise at 35-mph and using foot to run far above that when into metro traffic.
