Hello Everyone,
I have an interview coming up with swift and i was wondering if yall can give me any insight on how your interview was?
Anything that i should know? What should i be wearing to the interview? maybe any questions that i be prepared for?
Im new to the industry, im in my mid 20s with no family looking to travel the country and make money doing so. would they even consider hiring me because im maybe too young?

Oh you're just the sucker they're looking for. Young, inexperienced and clueless.
My advice? Tell them thanks but no thanks and find another company.homeskillet and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
23 years ago i got 2 and a half years experience there and have paid my bills a week early the whole time and own a home in the mountains
no wrecks and no regrets
new equipment and drop and hook the trailers lots of times
you tellin a man with no experience to pass on that
I might even have to retire soon -
@SeniorTacos do you already have your cdl, if not theres other options @Chinatown will be here to give you some options. If you have all your endorsements go do LTL such as FedEx, Old Dominion, Estes, R&L, AAA Cooper and Southeastern.
Good luckMysticHZ Thanks this. -
Swift will hire you; I think them minimum age is 21 yrs. old.
Do you already have a cdl?
Are you in Phoenix or Tucson? @SeniorTacosLast edited: Jan 12, 2019
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
I do not have my cdl. I was thinking about going through Swift Academy and getting my cdl through them. I really dont have much money to fork over a couple grand for school.
Im from Arizona so and was looking around for companies that teach within but they are all looking for recent cdl grads.
All im really looking for is a company that will give me experience and help me get my cdl, even if i have to be with them for a year is fine, i know my first year is going to be hell anyways and wont be getting much pain but we all gotta start somewhere.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -

Swift does inerviews??? I figured they'd just pull anyone in off the street!

Search LTL in your area, most LTL freight companies will start you in the dock and then help ya obtain your license. Thats another option.
Good luckDan.S Thanks this. -
Yes Swift will interview you.
Swift: Hi sir. Do you have a CDL?
Driver: No I don't. I'll need to go to your school.
Swift.: Oh goody goody. You'll be locked in with one of the worst companies on the road for a year. You seem to be able to fog a mirror. You're hired!!Dan.S and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
