    Hey there John!

    Thanks Man (I think...)

I am indeed quite cautious, but not to the point where I hinder other drivers. Afraid? Maybe more so aware than afraid. In the other aspect, I am afraid of what would happen if I screw up or stop paying attention. But I am certainly getting more comfortable with the abilities of "Little Man", and what I can and can not do.

But I see those "SuperTruckers" blaze by me all of the time (and I am running the speed limit.... ok, maybe a little over). And then I see them run up on top of a little 4 wheeler in front of them. At that point, I am looking for an escape route in case we have to enact Plan B.

For those of you who do that and might be reading this post.... do you not think? Do you not realize that one unplanned manuever by the driver of that 4 wheeler could negatively affect not only themselves, but you, and more importantly, ME?

Today I saw one of these guys (and it was a guy) roll down on a little old lady driving a Hyundai. I'll bet she was probably in her 70's. He liked to scare the bejesus out of her. She had no idea what to do because she was passing me going up a hill (I'm running heavy right now). When I saw it happening, and saw her begin to panic, I let off the pedal and made room for her to get over in front of me. Then Supertrucker slammed it down and went flying off. It could have turned out much worse.

So for those of you who think you are impresssing us, or think you can bully your way down the road, think how you would feel if you saw someone do that to your mother or grandmother. And if I see you run up on me like that, you're likely to get a new hood ornament followed by a southern-style whooping!

Chill out guys.... there's enough idiots on the road driving cars and pickups. There is no reason to add to the numbers. We're supposed to be the professionals! Right?

Well said. My observation after a year out here is 75% of those guys are in day cabs. Guess they are in a hurry to get home or because they live nearby and know the roads so well have gotten a bit complacent.

    Hey Scooterdawg,

I would have to agree with andrew5184, you sure have that rig looking all pretty and like she is ready for a date. I was looking at some of Sniper's photos of the rig that he is training in and his touch modifications man that would be one great paint job to put on a truck.

Still working on Plan A with the Post office trucking, contacted my buddy today and he said that he never got my application that I faxed to him on Monday, so I told him that I would do it again tomorrow and call him when I send it, that away he can be on look out for it. Glad to see that everything has been going well for you, still have not been able to get in touch with leith, really wanted to see what my friend was able to do for me, before contacting your company.

I will keep you informed of what is going on, it is good to see two North Carolina boy from the same area, end up with the same company. It good to be on with a good company, have the miles been pretty regular and have you been able to put some money in you pocket, that's all that matter is that the bills get paid. Like I tell me kids bill is the most important person you will know.

Stay safe out there and keep the tires turning.

    Jack

As a construction supervisor, my faxes often were important, so I'd go pay a buck to send them from Office Depot or MailBoxes Etc. so that a confirmation would be recieved.

    Hey Red Fox

Thanks for the input, I sent it from my own fax and did receive a confirmation sheet that it was completed and sent. I sent it again today and got another confirmation and called to be sure, it was his machine was not operating properly so he took care of the problem.

    Thanks

    Hey Ya'll -

Just thought I would pop my head in here real quick and bring you up to date.

Been a pretty tough weekend, but luckily everything worked out all right. I got detained at a shipper longer than expected, but was able to get things in place to make it work. Didn't really get ticked about it, nor did it cause me any problems. Dispatch jumped in and fixed it, plain and simple. And THIS is why I say I am working for a good carrier.

IronRydr and I keep running into each other. Saw him Friday, had some cheesesticks in Minneapolis, and then again in Whiteland, IN last night. It was nice to sit around and shoot the breeze. Even got a free salad and soup at the Flying J. hehehehehe life is good.

This morning I got up and took Little Man over to the truck wash for a "Spa Treatment". I swear he ran better today.

Have to be in Atlanta, GA tomorrow evening for a delivery and then who knows from there. Shut down just south of Nashville today.

Miles? Oh yeah... no problem. Since last Tuesday, this is how it broke down....

Tuesday - Hickory, NC to Sanford, NC to Rocky Mount, NC to Burlington, NC
Wednesday - Burlington, NC to Lebanon, IN (got to see my schoolmate Tariq there - it was his birthday)
Thursday - Lebanon, IN to Sturtevant, WI to Waupaca, WI to Plover, WI (nice little truck stop there at I-39)
Friday - Plover, WI to Brooklyn Center, MN to Rogers, MN to Fargo, ND
Saturday - Fargo, ND to Park Rapids, MN to Saux Center, MN to Rogers, MN
Sunday - Rogers, MN to Whiteland, IN (Indianapolis)
Monday - Whiteland, IN to Antioch, TN
Monday Night - Loud Crashing noise in my sleeper.... hehehehehe

    Linda says Hi!

Hope to see you out there!
    Arf!
