They can flag California registrations. How are they gonna flag Nevada registrations?
Speed limit signs are spelled out clearly, but people still break them. Illegal aliens aren't supposed to be here, but they're still here.

Well you can do what you like but f you get caught you will be fined. Don't pay it not a problem. When you do renew it will come up no matter what state your in. Weather your state dose anything who knows but why risk it?
-
Do what you want. You come here and ask questions and people give answers. From asking how to get your bus to NV without the proper permits to inter/intrastate questions to running in CA with a non-compliant engine you’re giving me the impression that you want to skirt many of the rules that others have to play by.
Studebaker Hawk, stwik, wore out and 2 others Thank this. -
And rest assured there is communication about that sort of thing between states.Studebaker Hawk, stwik and Broke Down 69 Thank this.

Finally somebody said it. I've watched this guys threads and they're all the same from his first one "where can I park my bus for FREE so I don't have to rent a space like every other business owner would do"? Imagine what his maintenance is like when his philosophy on every aspect of the business is "Can I get it for free and if I cant how can I cheat the system"Dale thompson, Long FLD and Studebaker Hawk Thank this.

Maybe he's hauling cheap freight and is trying to cut costs.
-
Not cheap freight, it's PEOPLE. He is talking about a BUS.
-
There's nothing in the dictionary that describes freight.
If you're getting paid to haul. It can be anything or anyone. Correct?
-
No I'm not trying to skirt the rules, I'm try to figure out what are the rules and what are not the rules. Speaking of which, I did end up buying the permits anyway. And I didn't park somewhere for free, I parked at my home residence after calling the city and confirming that it's legal. Well, it's "free", but it's my own front yard.
Poor maintenance kills people. Speeding kills people. Illegal aliens kill people. Driving a clean, well-maintained Series 60 into CA doesn't kill people, and it's not cheating the system: Greyhound drives non-compliant engines into CA on a daily basis. Greyhound also never had intrastate regular route authority in NV, though it doesn't matter since we determined on that thread that it's not required anyway. See? The whole point of these discussions is to discuss, not to break the law or get someone killed.
Besides, I don't even run into CA as evidenced by the other thread. We're discussing for the sake of discussion, not to break the law. As Americans, we have every right to do so.Last edited: Jan 12, 2019

On-Road Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicles (In-Use) Regulation
Here are the rules. Following them or not is your choice. You asked what happens and all I said was there’s a fine.
And technically it is cheating the system because you wouldn’t be following the regulations that forced many other people to upgrade equipment. But since you’re not going there then there’s no need to worry about it or read through the link I posted.Swadian Thanks this.
