Mercers equipment is overpriced. Source it from other places and only buy what you need.

They want you to have 10 chains/binders. Ive never once had to use 66,000lbs worth of securement on anything on a standard flat or step. I carry 8.

2" and 4" ratchets are nice to have, but you only need a few of each usually.

Headache rack. Used. Save ALOT of $ on them.

Tarps are your biggest expense. But again they can be had cheaper from other sources.

No Im not leased to Mercer. Im leased to a smaller, much better family owned co. If you want their info message me.

We do have loads at Mercer that require 10 chains. 5 peices that require 2 chains each.

    Oh boy.

I know you work for a much better company than Mercer so I wont even go there

It's obvious your clueless about the securement aspect of Mercers requirements, so my question would be how do you figure Mercers equipment is overpriced?

Not every single item but lots of it is competitively priced, some even cheaper. And for new guys starting out it's a pretty good deal for them, as mentioned above they only need 50% of the cash up front which helps folks just gettin going.
