Anyone know how to remove this seat air line thingy?

    Yeah I would like to see him do that so easily in my truck. Even though I drained the air tanks I didn't let the air out of the seat so perhaps that was my problem. If I try again it may just pop off easily.

    Push in with a small screwdriver. But if done like he shows. I have never seen one yet, that was bad to get apart. Even on my 1995, there easy.
    Let the air out of the truck and seat needs to be all the way down.

    Yup I'm sure I understand now. I was doing it right the first time was just afraid to be rough with it as I wasn't sure I was doing it correctly.

    The air pressure stops at the button on the seat so if the truck had no air that wasn't the problem. It doesn't matter if the seat was aired up or not.

    We call these "push-in" fittings. They aren't quite as durable as the old threaded ferrules, but they are reusable and super quick to install or take apart without tools. I usually will use a pair of pliers to push the brass piece in, as it is sometimes hard to push on the brass while you pull on the line to remove. Just use the pliers to push on the brass, and leave them loose enough as not to grab on the line.

    They’re handy but too often eventually leak.Good to have one of each size for emergencies

    God you guys ... you make things so complicated ...

    Op cut the thing, go to napa or ant medium size truck dealer and order yourself us dot standard 1/4 brass unions with Ferrals and be done with it.

    Yeah, if he has to mess with it after the fact, and it leaks, then he could waste more time trying to fix it instead of replacing it altogether.
