The midwest I-70 is fixing to be getting upwards of near two feet in many areas east of roughly Effingham IL. Pittsburgh PA on to Maine (Connecticut and above) will be quite something.

Arkansas still stands at rain, however there may be room for a few inches if that on the Saturday for us. It wont be much, and more towards the MO Line.

There are actually two storms, this Harvey coming in and one right behind that going into next week. Don't know how deep this will become in terms of Texas and Arkansas etc.

    Current storm warnings an watches.

Just some observations as I made my way down Donner after a 36 hr closure. I was literally the only truck on the road. Amazed at how many trucks were lined up on the shoulder on BOTH sides when I got to Applegate. Hundreds of trucks, and the road had been open for 3 1/2 hrs. by then. Basically I was shocked that all these trucks that made their way up to that point, and when the road opened you all just sit there sleeping. I mean WTF if you weren't going to get your ### out of bed and go to work, why even drive up there. Just stay away and head up when you actually intend to go to work. Also CHP and CALTRANS finally enforcing/ticketing the chain up area parkers. Heard one guy complaining about getting a ticket. I told him I hope it's a $1000 ticket and maybe he'll think twice about driving up here just to park in the chain up area with no intention of actually chaining up.
