Whelp, that was unexpected. I had an appointment for live unload at a Lowe's DC for 18:30. Somehow this load magically became a dnh, not sure what's up with that. No complaints here. It's 18:15 and I'm long gone from there. Parked, happy, and sippin' a beer. It's been a great day. Cheers y'all.

Weird thing about this experience on these threads is human contact. Like actually meeting people and knowing them. My heart is bleeding for two people I've met here. Thanks to y'all for allowing me to remain family. Love you guys. Keep the rubber down. Be safe.

Jamie gave us each a turn on the truck today. Just bobtail 1× each around in the auto. Pretty cool. That was my first time ever driving a tractor trailer. #### them breaks are touchy! Otherwise you Know the rest of the days itinerary, classroom review, and that fun stuff lol.
StyxxNC Thanks this. -
Yup, they sure are. Never been a fan of bobtailing. Especially now, cuz I'll have to grease the 5th wheel.

Sicker than a dog, but you know we get no reprieve lol. Juggling act this morning between steering wheel, shifter, and a big ol bottle of DayQuil. Gonna be a great day!

Still my only concern is being limited to only automatics on my CDL. But Millis Training and family just looks like too good an opportunity to pass up.
Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
The industry is going to auto. Manual will be hard to find in a few years. I don't even want to be trained with a maunal since I will likely never have a use for one.
-
That was my main concern as well, but if they are as good as they seem, I have no plans on going anywhere. Besides, I'm too old to be bouncing around anyhow lol
-
Your concern is very understandable. I had the same concern. The reality of the situation is that it would be very unlikely to ever affect you. While it's true that plenty of companies still run sticks, most of those companies are also running autos. The chances that you'll miss out on a future job opportunity are slim. Believe me, none of these companies wanna miss out on good drivers. They're adjusting. The future of this industry is heading to autos. Manuals will always be here, for sure. But you'll be fine with that restriction. I haven't touched a manual (not counting my cars at home) in over two years. Don't miss it either.BullDozer-( and StyxxNC Thank this.
