Starting School in Springfield, MO at 160 Academy

Yes, he says he has drivers making 60+ a year with bonuses, but wouldn’t go into detail of how the bonus system works. Also, I don’t think I want to run teams.

 

Just a quick update. I started 160 Academy on Oct 29th and passed first time on the 27th. If anyone is else is thinking about trying 160 I would recommend it. I went today and got my tanker, hazmat and double. I'm hoping to start orientation on Monday with Transland. I'm definitely nervous about switching to the OTR lifestyle, but hopeful it will work out. Anyways, thanks to everyone for the help and I'm sure I'll be on here more often now.

 

Just wanting to give a quick update. I’m in my 6th week of training at Transland and everything is going great. My trainer is really helpful and everyone in dispatch is wonderful. We’ve hit 3,000 miles every week except the week of Christmas and been home every weekend except one. If anyone has any questions about transland feel free to message me. I feel like I’ll be here long term.

 

I like it. It’s close to the house. I’m home almost every weekend and still make a good paycheck. They pay for healthcare and the equipment is well maintained. They’ll run you as hard as you want to run. I like to get 2400-2600 and call it a week others run 1800-2000 and are happy. Feel free to message me if there’s anything you want to know.
