Your placing your values in the the wrong place sonny. I take pride in my bank account. 50 cents a mile to drive a hood or 75 cents to drive a volvo. I'll drive the wheels off a volvo and I don't particularly like volvo. Not to mention a hood is more work for less money.

There is none, that's why they buy volvos.

That truck is beautiful...i love your handle..one of my best friends name is josh and i joke about how he would act if he was a bit of a rude uncaring trucker that goes by trucker-josh haha seriously. I joke that he would do things like leave pee bottles and trash places, talk like a sailor, have lack of basic table manners burping and stuff... haha thats another story though.

I was informed they pay HHG miles... is that all the miles or just some or certain loads?
Probably a can of worms but do HHG miles hurt a drivers pay? I mean is it actually significantly less than if you were paid practical miles?

I'm not here to bust your nuts. But let me tell you. The new hoods break down just as much as any other truck. The new hoods are not the same machine as the old iron. Don't be fooled by that. You will be in the shop with a new hood just as much as with any cascadia. What you really need is a company that takes pride in their mechanics.

If the supposedly better paying job includes a camera in my face while the cheaper job with the nicer truck not only doesn’t but is an all around better place to work, the choice couldn’t be any more clear to me.

That's the way I like to go, drove a 95 with a 500Cummins, loved that truck. The early Classic Condo with the 275"whlbase was a beautiful ride till it got to 250k.The nicest riding Pete I've Driven was 300"and had a 350Cummins.The guy that owned it also had a day cab with a 444 in it.I tried to get him to switch out the motors but he wouldn't do it.
