Hazmat / Tanker Companies

Any thoughts on superior bulk logistics?? I'm in wrightsville split between savana and Augusta terminals ???

 

Action Resources has yard north of Atlanta. Main Off. in Birmingham, 3yards near Hanceville.

 

McKenzie was bought by Groendyke 1 January.

Yes it is. They are going to keep the McKenzie trucks until they are cycled out. Unfortunately they cut us down to 65 mph. Typical move by a mega company.

 

Schwerman, Tankstar, they have terminals in lots of locations, advertising openings right now. Liquid HazMat, haul chemicals. They pay loaded and empty miles.

 

Before I got my authority up and rolling, I looked hard at tanker. I contacted MC Tank around that time and they seemed pretty good. I didn’t get the used car salesman vibe and their pay was pretty good for the O/O, not sure about their company guys. They seemed to have a lot of opportunities to get on regular or dedicated runs and a lower percentage of empty miles than most places.

 

I kinda like the idea of paid loaded and empty.....

 

You will almost always come out further ahead on a percentage contract. Mileage contracts offer a false sense of security in exchange for paying you less. When I was leased on, having a percentage contract was a must for me. Tanker loads are normally rated on an all miles basis.

I aint the one to haul gasoline though... it's not for me.

 

C&S chemicals , small company , local regional runs , pay is by the hour ( plenty of hours ) winder GA , Columbus GA , hardeevill SC looking for a driver , 1 year experience with tank , need to be self motivated they don't hold your hand .
