Some states have few, MN has 1 south of 90 and east of 35 near Albert Lea, that's it. Sometimes, it's too far out of route to get fuel at a Loves.

Yeah this one is about a mile south of 90 on the East side of 35 across the two lane from the TA.

I think I've visited that particular Love's. I recall it being at bit out of the way, and it was a small lot with lots of turns getting to it, but it wasn't busy and it was clean.

Yes that is not a bad Love's. I go there fairly often at least to fuel and sometimes for the night. Parking isn't bad usually thanks to the big Petro across the street.

I didn't know there was a Petro across the street. Is it new? I went at night so I couldn't see too much.

The now Petro used to be a franchise TA (non corporate), it was taken over,(bought out by corporate) as I understand it to get a 24 hour shop and full service restaurant going again, with some concessions to keep a local influence.

    misterG and Lepton1 Thank this.

My last company had it set up where we could fuel at either Pilot/Flying J or Loves, so I tried to stick to Loves to get the most outta the points. (I managed Platinum every month for over a year). My new company however is strictly Pilot/J, so that’s where I fuel.

Then there are those companies that only activate your fuel card at particular locations for X amount of gallons. Swift was like that for company drivers. They gave you a fuel route. However, if I wanted to bypass a stop, like postage stamp sized Loves, I did so. Then I called or messaged dispatch to "reoptimize" my fuel route. It's computer generated and sometimes you had to get a ways down the road before it would stop wanting me to turn around and go back to the fuel stop from hell.

I try to avoid the bigger chain truck stops as much as possible.
Most of the mega fleets use the big chains and we know what they bring.

    Lepton1 and Numb Thank this.
