My wages are good enough. That doesn't matter. I am delivering heavy freight to peoples' homes on a 4 foot long lift gate. Most of these homes are on a hill. I am not using a freaking forklift.
-
If people choose to tip you, that's fine. But to expect a tip for merely doing your job when you're already fairly compensated is ridiculous.
Maybe another line of work would suit you better.cybill234, Blackshack46, Texas_hwy_287 and 3 others Thank this. -
they do not get paid high dollars over a truck driver

Ok reo3205. Pulling heavy freight off a liftgate on a hill to someones home does not deserve a tip? Really?
-
but the o/p is making it sound like He must be TIPPED......
SCREW THAT NONSENSE. HE GETS A PAYCHECK. IN FACT, AT ONE LTL carrier i worked for, anyone taking the liftgate got paid extra. and he wants more..???Texas_hwy_287 and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
that's different..you as an OWNER show YOUR appreciation to your workers...customers do not and are not REQUIRED to tip a delivery driver, especially one that gets paid MORE THAN minimum wage.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.
-
why...???
you did nothing any more different then jockeying around a loading dock.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
I think all of you need to rethink what it takes to deliver heavy freight on a liftgate. It is difficult. I am working alone unless the customer is willing to help.
-
that tip you gave the glass installer, WAS ON YOU.......he didn;t ask for it, here in sharp contrast, you are DEMANDING a tip.....which frankly, you are not entitled to.brian991219, Blackshack46, Texas_hwy_287 and 2 others Thank this.
