Had a 1600 appointment in Allentown, I was in a door at 1430 and had my bills in hand by 1530. If only all grocery warehouses could be that efficient.
My next load is preloaded in Aberdeen, Md, but I’m not going to fight that Philly/Delaware/Maryland evening traffic, so I shut it down early on the Pa. turnpike, and will get up at 0200 and avoid all that mess. That load will be a drop in University Park, Illinois.mushroom1464, Crusader66, Vic Firth and 1 other person Thank this. -
From one nasty traffic area to another. You’re one lucky driver
MidWest_MacDaddy and Crusader66 Thank this. -
I’ll time both my pick up and drop around the traffic. Both places are open 24/7 so I can avoid the worst of it. Another reason of many I like working here, plenty of flexibility to pick up and drop at a lot of our customers. I thought about fighting my way down through Philadelphia in evening rush, wasting at least two extra hours in traffic, then I came to my senses and said there is no rush, the load will be waiting for me about 0330 when I show up in the morning.gntorres61, MidWest_MacDaddy, Vic Firth and 6 others Thank this.

Got up at 0200 on Tuesday, got down to Aberdeen and picked up my load, made it through Baltimore before morning rush, and was enjoying breakfast at the AC&T in Hagerstown at 0600.
Got up at 0115 this morning expecting to fight an ice storm into Chicago, but it never materialized. Dropped my load in University Park, bounced 31 miles to Bolingbrook to pick up a load, got here at 0530 only to be told by the night shift supervisor that the production line went down lastnight and it would be around 1000 before my product was ready. No big deal, this load Is going back to Blair, Nebraska, I’m bumping up against my 70 so I will drop it Friday morning. Then I have to go to Fremont and get my Medical card renewed, hard to believe it’s been two years already.gntorres61, Vic Firth and ncmickey Thank this. -
Anyone have any information about their flatbed fleet?
-
You get paid .08 cents more a mile than you would pulling a van for us. I have a friend that switched from our van division to our flatbed division, he loves it. He’s running about 3K miles a week. They run all 48 states, I don’t believe they have a regional division on the flatbed side. Any other questions I will do my best to answer, but you might be better off calling and speaking with a recruiter.

Lol. They not open yet .Was hoping to get some info before i called them. Im in tn. Don't expect a regional run .Lol . Do they have cameras in trucks?
-
Someone should be in shortly . Forward facing only on the cameras, as long as your not driving like an idiot, you don’t hear anything. I’ve been called once, since they installed the cameras.

That's good .What does dry van pay? So i know around about for pay
