Oh my God, you made me download the Freight contract.
Start: $17.20
1 year: $19.50
2 year: $22
3 year: $24.50
Top rate: $28.05
But then, negotiated into the top rate were RAISES of .40, .40, .45, .45, and 50 cents per hour. So by contract's end, Freight will be at $30.25. There is no two-tier system. You would have been making $30.25 by contract's end.
Now, the thing I'm reading that has me puzzled is road pay. Did the road drivers really only get an increase of 1.25 cpm over the course of the contract? That's how I read it, and that's...odd.![]()

Wow. Why I couldn’t pull the trigger on UPSF. That’s a long time for good pay. My company starts experienced drivers at full scale. It would be what it takes to get to year 4 on this scale. Also we get raises every year cause the company is performing very well. Should be at .68-69cpm and $30hr by mid point this year. In 4 years I can see us at .72cpm maybe more. That’s around 150k I would loose over 3-4 years just for a pension. That 150k would easily be in my 401k. Also seniority at UPSF might have me home making less. Where I’m at there’s pretty much plenty of freight I can work 6-7days if I feel like and I’ve only been here 4 months. 6 days a week puts me at 100-110k a year. Seems like UPSF doesn’t want anyone with experience cause that’s a lot of suffering for a couple years in my eyes. If I was just starting out with my CDL then it’s worth it.Mike2633, speedyk, LtlAnonymous and 1 other person Thank this.

Bro, that my biggest thing about being here, having to wait 7 or 8 years to get a route at my terminal.
Even our 3 shortest route have a guys with 7 or 6 year with the company that is discouraging. They still have not added any new routes..
Kinda makes u think is it worth staying.BigDog Trucker Thanks this. -
This the old contract..
