I-90 is closed due to avalanche danger. I moved down to southern WA figuring I-84 will improve long before I-90 does, but it's been pretty bad in the Columbia River Gorge all day with several wrecks. I-84 was closed for a good part of the day.

Tomorrow it looks like you might be able to make it through early in the day before it starts snowing again later, assuming it doesn't turn into a sheet of ice overnight and they're able to get it cleared up early enough. Then, Cabbage has to be dealt with.

It's just been one storm after another with low snow levels rather than just one.

I just came from Spokane last night. 90 was fine, then south on 395 for about an hour was fine until traffic backed up due to at least three different wrecks.

Even though being stopped for nearly two hours did frustrate me, seeing a white Prius spun out alongside the road was satisfying. Yeah, climate change caused that.

But today, temperatures increased, and I could at long last see bare pavement on 82. Loading in Grandview now, then the trek south on 97 begins. :-|

There was a lot of snow on the ground from the Canadian border down to around Bellingham. More snow than I've ever seen in western Washington so far.

I bet the truck stops are all a terrible mess. Think of all the freight that is backed up getting out of the SeaTac area and all the freight the grocers are missing. How many hours has Snoqualamie been open the past 3 days? Going via Portland is hardly a good option either.

Lot's of trucks parked in Wisconsin too with 12+ inches in the many areas of the state, that freight should start moving again to the PNW Wednesday, so that will be another wave coming into the area in 3 or 4 days if Montana doesn't snag too many.

Had to clean 12" of snow out of the driveway today.
I'll be part of that parade. Leaving northern Illinois Wednesday about noon. Sure would appreciate you drivers clearing a path to Seattle.
I've been looking at the weather forecast for the weekend. Looks like Sunday into Monday is the best time to get thru Idaho.

Sounds like you are working in the wrong part of the country these days.

And it is beginning to look like climate change is getting to be very real.
Parts of the world are heating up, and others are going frigid. The upper US seems to be going more frigid each year. This year has had more arctic cold moving down than any year previous that I can remember.

I've certainly seen all the snow this year that I'll ever want to see.

    Arizona, take me away.

If you have a dash cam video at all working good. I will consider it a gift if you record your next run down cabbage tomorrow or whenever you get there. Day or night.

I would love to see it one more time. Be very careful on Cabbage as you always are. Don't forget that snow on top of your rig will tip your scales on top of cabbage which I think is still there. You are doing a good job aiming for Wyoming, Fort Bridger and all that. You need to keep moving, you have a major storm developing as I write this. Don't dawdle. get moving. I want you to make Odgen if possible and east gone before this stuff reaches you.

I've never seen as many trucks packed in the Prosser, Washington Love's as I did last night.

Mercifully, there was no wind as I took on fuel.

Dont do it! Go I5. Only 90 miles longer and you don't have to deal with 2-lane with the "YUBA CITY PISS BOMBERS" trying to run you off the road.
