I ran over that sign during my CDL road test on the 22nd over last month. DPS officer said to check on the report in about two weeks. It's been about three weeks.
Accident report website says that "peace officers have up to 10 days from the date of the crash to submit a crash report to the Texas Department of Transportation. In addition, once submitted, a crash report may take up to 4 days to be processed."
It also say's "In addition, once submitted, a crash report may take up to 4 days to be processed"
So am I in the clear? He obviously hasn't submitted it within the 10 day window.
Anyone know how accident reports work?

I hope you got lucky and he cut you a break. Cops hate paperwork , hopefully he was too busy. I did the same thing once, pulling into a new Lowe’s store. Mowed it right down. Stupid sign placed 3 ft off curb. Bent my bumper, got out straightened it with a board. Signed in and went outside to be asked by another of our Drivers” How'd You bend your bumper”? I looked at him and said “I don’t know” Lol End of questions!!! Good luck your story reminded Me of my own mistake.Youll make it either way.
austinmike Thanks this.
