    SO funny!

In my younger days I had a hobby.
    Rockets.
Yes. In CAP (Civil Air Patrol) we did rockets.
We built small rockets, and had competition launches in different parts of the state. I had a Big Bertha rocket that set a height record.
One guy had a 3 stage Saturn V rocket that went up about 100 feet, second stage didn't fire and it came back down nose first into the ground. It was really a sight to behold, that rocket sticking up tail wise from the ground.
Another had a V2 that went up 15 feet and suddenly leveled off, and smacked into the side of a building. He had thinned the tail fins too much so it wasn't stable. To bad, so sad.

Yreka, CA in the winter months.
Staying in other peoples homes and rooms, with the windows closed because of the cold.
But we had rockets to build, and paint and dope to apply. It got a bit heavy in there, and we all got a bit high off the fumes.
But, we had a mission to build our best rocket.

Most kids these days have NO idea of the fun that is missed out in these days.

    All that to say this...
I really wanted to build a rocket launcher behind the grill of my car, just for those stupid cars that upset me SO much.

One little rocket to the tail pipe...

    Slowmover1 and Nukem Thank this.

The bottom line.... he’s been having a few bad days. I have those all the time, BUT....... I won’t tailgate nor use the money lane. I’ll bite my tongue and curse like crazy, after that..... I go back to trucking mode. In other words, I get over it.

    Yup, not worth it.

I am not in competition with anyone but myself.
And with myself it is simply this... Keep calm and safe.

That happens all the time. Just back off a touch and before you know it they'll be back up to speed. I think some of them get tensed up passing the big truck and once it's over they relax and let up without even realizing it.

It's not about patience though, it's all about perspective. Getting though the day without incident is far more important than getting there 10 seconds or 10 minutes sooner.

Yep. Happens several dozen times every single day. Nothing you can do but stay calm, and back out of it a little till it is safe to pass them. Then they immediately pass you again and we get to repeat the process all over again

I should rephrase my last post number 24.

I had one little short wheelbase international. NOTHING on that plastic matress shipping box could be bothered to make work.ANY kind of acceleration was followed by a flap of the big metal hammer onto the floor. The brake pedal fought back aftrer a 1/7th of a inch application and then bounces a inch to start off bucking your feet off. And that clutch? Eh... you put that to the floor and shifted on faith that you slowed up the engine long enough to find a gear ith will uews l

Tha's why the first 5 working gears are just... crappy. Better than nothin gthough. It's a good thing my co driver was a little older than I am because if the Law really wanted siomethings with it, it necessary to put a dallop of water into the boat proper so that you know when it's floating as opposed to just sloshing and sinking until it has enough to float on.

For those of you have not had their Folgers I offer the clarification. 60 PSI brake alarm test. You pump up both the Secondary and Primary and wait a minute. kill the engine and pump that down If everything is in order you have that first alarm and lighting which is good. The really important part happens later. Hopefully with you still among us on the mountain blessing and giving thanks be to God for giving you sonehow a second life with which to do something about it.

I hear ya about the reality check. Good for you for recognizing it.

You were very very lucky. Someone is looking out for you. Next time just go to your happy place and shake it off.

My first driving instructor always told me, with his wonderful Spanish accent, "Take it Easy."

I'm from NJ so I'm naturally aggressive from birth. I used to get pissed off when cars cut me off as well. A seasoned driver once told me that if I was going to get angry every time a car cut me off then I should find a new line of work. Cars cut you off, that's what they do. Deal with it in a professional manner. Some days when I'm not in the best state of mind and I'm driving on long island, I just get in the slow lane put her in 9th and just roll down the highway easy breezy. F'em.

Also, I've found, when you are upset, you seem to run into all the other people that are upset. Try a little kindness, let them in, big deal, what's another 20 feet. Could go a long way down the line. That's how I did it.

I had some person zip right out in front of me yesterday and then slowly creep creep creep along until he got to a busy round about and then stop in the round about, because he didn't know where he was going and I and some other automobiles zoomed around this person. Before that person finally got a clue and pulled in a near by parking lot to get there baring straight realizing parking in the middle of a round about is not a good thing to do.

I like to drive in the morning or night sometimes it's a little easier, but obviously that can't always be helped.
