Anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 as reported here . Try putting refresher course in the forum search for more info . Bad thing is few guarantee employment when you take the course .

If your job is cutting it for things like paying bill, food etc...First you might want to consider finding what you could cut back on until you find another job.. With jobs being so scarce, it might be some time before something good come along..

    Just my recent experience...
I just (1 week ago) graduated with a fresh CDL with the ink still wet. I had 4 prehires from major companies. When I called to say I'm ready to go to work I was told by most ... "oops, sorry, but we can't schedule any new driver orientations at this time. We'll call you in a month or so... I was told by one company that they couldn't schedule me for orientation 'til mid May but by then my brand spanking new CDL would be over 60 days old so I would have to take a refresher before they could schedule me...:biggrin_2554:
I'm still plugging away but not getting that warm fuzzy feeling about going to work anytime real soon...

I've done quite a bit of construction myself and worked in quarries in the winter . Back in the early '90's I'd get up your way fairly often . I drove for Eastern Seaboard Packaging and delivered boxes to U-Haul stores and movers . I also worked for Land Transport delivering to CVS and Ames . CVS was rough in the winter . Had to send stuff out of the trailer on rollers . Had 3 or 4 stops and wouldn't have time to get warm between them .
