Bluetooth Headsets

Blue Parrott is the best. I have owned two over the last five years. B250-XTS is my current model.

 

I bought a new Blue Parrot B-350 a few days ago. Anybody know if I need to deal with whatever's involved with updating it? Had no issues pairing and using it out of the box and don't want to mess with this if I don't really need to.

Does Blue Parrot issue firmware updates regularly for their stuff?

 

Never thought about it, but just checked their website and yes they do have firmware updates via your computer and USB.
They also have an app for your phone for additional features.

 

Just be aware that firmware updates work for Windows based laptops. I bought the Blueparrot 450 and I have an Apple MacBook and their updates only work on older iOS operating systems. That sucks because now I can’t update and can’t return the headset.

 

I use a $26 MPOW from Amazon. Works great.

 

Why dont they just let ppl update from their app. It's not like everyone's running around with laptops.

 

I'm not running around with a laptop, don't even own a laptop. Typing now on my home computer desktop, my phone is an ancient 5.1.1 build Android.
I'm quite happily a quasi-luddite

 

I have been using Sony wireless Bluetooth from BJs.

I have been using with just one side in my ear not to be illegal.

I don't like the idea of having something that always 100% goes in one ear and like to switch so that I balance out my loudness on my hearing.

Can you switch the parrot headsets from one side to the other?

 

I just bought that aftershokz opencomm bone conduction headset from loves last week. Pretty crazy tech and just as good of noise cancelling as the rest. My parrot died so I tossed it out the window. I won't buy blue parrot again. That was my 5th one.
