If your talkin about gettin coax outside noo just run it down the pillar and out the firewall just under steering column if that hole is still there behind that blk plate..

Now based on how yours is commin into the trk i have a way..
Pull the cover off thats on passenger side( the one that used to be glove box)....You can darn near reach to others side with your arm..Fish coax through with your coat hanger..

    New Stainless Steel antenna mounts.

Gave Robert one of my Pro-Comm mounts and he had a local machine shop make these medium and heavy duty pieces. These are for the late model Cascadia.

Still a couple of the HD Predator antenna studs back on 12/14.

And a view of the San Antonio Shop.

Word is that an Amarillo location may be coming.

I’m out of this truck now. On to a 579 Pete. Had Robert do a tracing of mirror bolts for SS mounts so us 579 drivers can utilize 7’ Skipshooters.

I'm kind of confused (I'm new to CBs). Guys in the New Cascadias are saying they cant get out more than 5 miles. I'm in a new Cascadia and have had numerous convos at 15+ miles. What gives? Did I just get lucky?
I'm running a Cobra 29, 102" whip and 5" extension, Palomar 250, Browning coax, Pro Comm aluminum mount, doors, cab, frame all bonded with braided ground strap.
I'm not bashing anyone or anything, I'm just wondering if I got lucky or something. I'm always tinkering with this thing also.
I've also used a 7' firestik and just about every thing else in between "experimenting".

For the chassis grounding, I used braided ground strap on the rear cab shock mounts to chassis mounts. Its prob not the best way, but it's what I feel comfortable doing to a company truck. I'll try and get a pic for you.

    Slowmover1 Thanks this.

No, that's the only grounding I've done for chassis to body. I'm sure everything could be improved. My SWRs just twitch the needle, and I've never tested the antenna with a spectrum analyzer, but I feel 15 miles is good enough for what I need it to do....for now. Lol
