Anybody else going bankrupt due to Amazon?

Of course, they cannot pay decent rates. Amazon is about people wanting to spend little and even less. It is not even Walmart shopping. The same goes for Uber and wanting to go to airport for cheap fares. We are all, as society, putting noose around our necks. Me too...just ordered another movie on Prime Video. I miss those Blockbuster visits.

 

It would also be nice to see the United States Postal Service quit subsidizing Amazons shipping costs off the backs of tax payers.

 

XPO found out the hard way that you don't put most of your eggs in one basket. Man, Amazon pulled the rug out on them.

 

They are all about eliminating the overhead, and agoraphobic people love them. Right now they're the new kid on the block, wait till they get some competition, things should really get interesting.

 

You're so smart, Amazon listened: they just bought 10 more cargo planes, for a total of 50..... Amazon Air expands with 10 more cargo aircraft, bringing fleet to 50 planes

I would not count on Amazon if I were a vendor, and I would certainly not give them preferential treatment....

No this was last fall. Several loads. Out of all the package guys, Fed Ex is definitely the best. By far the most organized. And I've done, I dunno, at least two dozen, and they always pay good, and have enough time on them where you never have to speed, which always has me wondering why their drivers speed.

 

I hauled a few loads for Amazon back when it was paying good. I was never impressed with their facilities. The last one I did they made me wait outside the gate until they called me to come get my trailer. My household is amazon free and staying that way.

 

There's a thread prob well over a year ago, they held his trailer hostage for something crazy I wanna say a week + and had the stones to give him someone else's wagon

 

Any one remeber Jet.com? Same basic model as Amazon, a bit more focused on household consumables, in the beginning. Wider product mix now. Wally World bought out the company a few years ago.
