I like my 10k switches on my radios. If i am running with one of my drivers, or another driver and want to B.S without all the radio rambo's, or ignorance on the radio. I can do so. Also when i get close to a truck stop on any given weekend, or so. I do not have to listen to the B.S

Yes, on any of the 5 new channels.
-
It splits some. All but 5 channels are 10khz apart, so for the rest of the band, it just goes up a channel. So ch 18 with the switch on is really 19.

Haha good luck. I’ve reached out several times over the last three years to no avail. I would’ve gladly bought a new radio or twice from him if he’d rather not work on my equipment. I gave up on him.
-
Or he just doesn’t respond. I didn’t even have a chance to “get out of line.”

Well ... one thing I learned a long time ago, no matter how good you think you are, if you can't be cordial and polite in answering questions, you don't know much.
I had a "tech" who lived near me. He was such a prick because he "knew" more than anyone else. He would work on everyone's radios and act like he was god's gift to CB. When I started to repair his work, especially on upper crust radios (browning, CPI, Stoner to name a few he hacked), he got wind of it and started to trash me.
The joke of it was I met him a while later and he had no clue who I was, but he learned a bunch of things on how to work on those types of radios. I introduced him to a few people who gave techs things like better front ends and other amazing things.Slowmover1 Thanks this. -
This tech might be amazing, but in 2019, CB tech isn’t exactly in demand to most of the world. I trust he is great, so I would gladly pay him what he wants up front for work and/or a new radio set up by him. I understand messages get lost, but no response to a few over the course of 3+ years means he’s not interested. Maybe he’s not looking for new clients. I won’t be reaching out anymore.

I remember back in the 70s, the Johnson 123A radios, you could slowly move the channel selector between certain channels, and you could talk on a different frequency. I am not sure what the frequencies were since I didn’t have a frequency counter at the time. I didn’t know anything about the 10 kHz switch.

Sooooo....you are saying that Mark was your neighbor? Just kidding. -
Also you better pay attention and do as he says. There was one video I saw along time ago where someone sent him a radio, and it had a small problem. He got very upset over it and put it back in the box, and said It can set on the shelf for a few months. Sounds like he will hold your radio hostage if you’re not careful. Definitely a strange way to run a business.
